A CONDENSATE POT IS A TYPE OF VESSEL OR TANK USED IN STEAM SYSTEMS TO COLLECT AND STORE CONDENSED STEAM OR WATER. IT IS TYPICALLY INSTALLED AT A LOW POINT IN THE STEAM SYSTEM, WHERE IT CAN COLLECT CONDENSATE THAT HAS FORMED DUE TO THE COOLING OF STEAM AS IT FLOWS THROUGH PIPES OR EQUIPMENT. THE CONDENSATE POT IS DESIGNED TO PREVENT THE CONDENSATE FROM ENTERING THE MAIN STEAM LINE, WHICH COULD CAUSE DAMAGE OR AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SYSTEM. IT ALSO ALLOWS FOR THE SAFE AND EFFICIENT REMOVAL OF THE CONDENSATE THROUGH A DRAIN VALVE OR TRAP. CONDENSATE POTS ARE COMMONLY USED IN INDUSTRIAL SETTINGS SUCH AS POWER PLANTS, REFINERIES, AND CHEMICAL PLANTS.
